Overview

Radial drilling machines are widely used in single piece and small and medium batch production to process the holes of workpieceswith large volume and weight.,It can be used to drillvarious screw.holes, threaded bottom holes and oil holes of large workpieces.It is widely used in various industries of machining.

Large Machining Range, Eliminating the Need for Frequent Workpiece Movement

The arm can be raised, lowered, and rotated along the column, and the spindle head can slide left and right on the arm.  Combined with the movement of the worktable, this allows for drilling, reaming, boring, tapping, and counterboring at different positions without moving heavy workpieces, making it especially suitable for hole machining of large and heavy workpieces (such as machine tool beds, frames, and molds).

Stable Machining Accuracy and High Rigidity

The bed and column feature a heavy-duty design, providing strong resistance to deformation during drilling, resulting in high accuracy of hole diameter and minimal errors in coaxiality and perpendicularity; the spindle speed and feed rate have a wide adjustment range, adaptable to different materials (steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals).

Convenient Operation and High Versatility

The spindle can be manually or automatically fed, and some models are equipped with a hydraulic locking device to quickly fix the position of the arm and spindle head; it can be used with different tools to complete multi-process machining, and one machine can replace some functions of ordinary bench drills and upright drills, reducing equipment investment costs.

Strong Adaptability and Customization Options

Supports customized extended arms and enlarged worktables to meet the processing needs of extra-long and extra-wide workpieces; some heavy-duty radial drilling machines can be equipped with CNC systems to achieve semi-automatic machining and improve production efficiency.

Electrical safety protection

It can be raised and lowered along the column and rotated around the column.  The spindle head can also slide left and right on the swivel arm, thus covering a larger machining range and allowing drilling at different positions without moving heavy workpieces.

Once the swing arm is adjusted to the target position, this mechanism locks it in place using hydraulic/manual means (the black bolts and other components in the diagram are part of the locking structure), keeping the swing arm and column relatively fixed to prevent displacement due to vibration during machining and ensure drilling accuracy.

The circuit breaker (red and white component on the right) automatically disconnects the circuit in case of overload or short circuit, preventing damage to equipment or wiring;
Proper wiring of terminal blocks and switches also reduces safety hazards such as leakage and poor contact.
